It's available from MacPorts, too. https://macports.org I finally switched from fink to MacPorts mainly because MacPorts is semi-officially supported by Apple, so they tend to be more up to date than fink. Philosophies are about the same.

FFmpeg can easily be installed using the ?Fink? package manager to handle all the references and associated files.

Have installed it painlessly but not used it with Igor.
